Slider Madness
“Jazz hands for your old website.”
I am sure I am going to regret that “jazz hands” comment – what every possessed me!!! ???
The Story of My Website Slider Madness —
began a few weeks ago when I was building a new site for a new client. I was tasked with getting a handle on the Slider Revolution Plugin for WordPress. It was a bit of a struggle to start – but it is basiclally like using the old Flash or managing an image in Premiere, so it was mostly about finding the needed tools when they were needed.
I don’t “get it” fully even now, but I am still sitting here writing to you about it… dear reader. Because using sliders and what they call “scenes” is an easy and impressive way to “jazz up” (yep, said it again) a post, page or home page.

The image above is not too impressive until you see it in action. Here is a link:
X10 Page with New Knee Library Scene
Scroll down a ways on the page to see the scene. Small, interesting, attention-grabbing without interrupting the flow of the blog too much. And the cool thing is that I set it up to move in and out, load and unload, as you scroll up and down the page. It has a button on it which I introduce at the end. It works on desktop and mobile (of course).
Old SIte, New Site
I am going to continue to look for smart uses of this easy-to-install tech. To me there are lots of WordPress sites out there that could use a little facelift. This is one way to do that without too much trouble.
